Dalton State Men's Golf Leads By 14 After 1st Round

Dalton State put together an impressive first round, carding a (-7, 281) to take the overnight lead in the Bojangles Tennessee Intercollegiate at Tennessee National Golf Club in Loudon, Tenn. on Monday.

Cumberlands (Ky.), (+7, 295), is second, followed by #19 Lindsey Wilson, (+12, 300) in third. #25 William Carey, (+19, 307), and Maryville College, (+20, 308), round out the top 5.

All-American P.J. Shields led the way for the Roadrunners, firing a (-4, 68) to take the overnight lead individually.
He was joined in the top 5 by Sport Allmond. Allmond carded a (-3, 69) and sits in a tie for second with Ben Kendrick from Cumberlands (Ky.).

Senior Chase Cole gave the Roadrunners three players in the top five after posting a 1-under round of 71 and sits in a tie for fourth. All-American S.M. Lee is in a tie for 10th after a round of (+1, 73), while Dalton Johnson carded (+8, 80) on the day.

The #2-ranked Roadrunners will be back on the course on Tuesday, as they look to finish their fall season off with a victory in the final round of the Bojangles Tennessee Intercollegiate at Tennessee National Golf Club in Loudon, Tenn.

Dalton State Finishes 2nd At Carey Collegiate Classic

Dalton State came up just short, firing a final round (+24, 312) to finish second in the Carey Collegiate Classic at Canebrake Country Club in Hattiesburg, Miss on Tuesday. County Schools Delay Start 1 Hour Due To Flooding; Numerous Roads Flooded Or Experiencing Standing Water
