After being mauled for five straight games, the Lookouts went to work in the first three innings scoring six of the seven runs in the 7-4 win at Montgomery last night. 

Chattanooga remains in a tie for first place with Jackson in the Southern League North Division with only eight games to be played in the first half.

The Lookouts outhit the home team 11-to-7 with each team committing one error. 

Omar Bencomo held the Biscuits to one run over eight innings. He improved his Southern League record to 5-0 and he now has a 1.94 ERA for the Lookouts.Bencomo would toss eight of the nine innings with just three strikeouts but kept the bats silenced in the win.

Chattanooga had a 2-0 lead before they even recorded an out. This game opened with back-to-back singles which were followed by a two-run triple from Edgar Corcino. Corcino's triple would empty the basses and he then scored on Brian Navarreto's double taking a three to nothing lead.

Catcher Brian Navarreto had a big night, going 3-for-4 with a couple of doubles and two RBIs. He now has 11 doubles on the season, which is just two shy of his career high.

In the third inning James Ramsey clouted a two run homer and Tanner English singled in Navarreto for the 6-0 lead. 

Chattanooga had a 7-1 lead heading into the ninth when Montgomery would make a short run, but Tyler Jay surrendered three runs, two of which were earned.

Chattanooga firefighters had to climb 150 feet to extinguish a fire at a flour mill off Amnicola Highway on Monday morning.
