Greater Chattanooga Democratic Women’s Club Has Candidate Appreciation Picnic

Wednesday, June 20, 2018

The Greater Chattanooga Democratic Women’s Club will host an indoor picnic on July 10. The public is invited to meet Democratic candidates running for local, state and federal offices.

GCDWC President Lisa Berry said, “We’re calling it the ‘Celebration of Real Choice for Voters’ because Chattanooga has clearly defined choices in the Aug. 2 election. Recent elections have not always offered this diversity.”

The Aug. 2 election has 25 Democrats on the ballot. Twelve of those candidates are women.

"Chattanooga is part of a national trend – a wave of women running for office and intent on changing Tennessee and our country,” said Ms. Berry. “We’re excited by all of our candidates, and we want Chattanoogans to meet them.”

The indoor picnic and candidate recognition is scheduled for 6 p.m. at IBEW Hall, 3922 Volunteer Dr.  Plates are $15. Please RSVP by calling 580-7304 or emailing pcombs12@epbfi.com by July 7.
