Hall Wins Warm-Up For Next Weekend's Firecracker 50 At Fort Payne Motor Speedway

Kasey "The Hurricane" Hall from nearby Geraldine, Ala., returned to victory lane and extended his Fort Payne Motor Speedway Super Late Model Track Championship Points Lead Saturday night.

 

He won the 25-lap warm-up race leading to next Saturday's 11th annual "FireCracker 50" $3,000 to-Win event.

 

Hall with his # 42 "Faster Performance Parts, Snap-On Tools, Dukes Contracting, Mark Jones" sponsored racecar held off all challengers, beginning with pole sitter of the race, Georgia's Casey Turman.

 

Sam Seawright (last weeks SLM winner) finished second with Turman third overall under the checkers. Josh Putnam from West Alabama was fourth, while Sam's big brother,18-year-old JT Seawright, rounded out the Top 5.

 

Sam Seawright (13 years old) pulled double duty and won the Crate LM feature.  

 

Crate's next weekend will compete in the "Firecracker 50" event along with SLM's, while the UCRA 602/Sportsman host their season's first event the "FireCracker 25" paying $700 to-Win.
