Elizabeth Is The Better Baker For District 2

Tuesday, July 17, 2018

I live in District 2 of Hamilton County.  I voted for Elizabeth Baker for county commissioner.  I ask the other citizens of District 2 to vote for Elizabeth.

I first became aware of Elizabeth’s commitment to community because of her work with Stay with HCDE, a nonpartisan group which she co-founded.  She spearheaded an independent investigation of whether a separate school district for the town of Signal Mountain was necessary or appropriate.

As a result of Elizabeth’s and others' efforts, the proposal for a separate school district stalled, but there are still those who would try to go forward.  District 2 needs a commissioner who understands the value of Signal staying with HCDE.  Elizabeth is that commissioner.

Elizabeth has attended a number of candidate forums and has answered questions from moderators and from citizens in the audience.  She has canvassed neighborhoods and spoken with citizens about issues.  Elizabeth understands the importance of transparency in government and community input on matters which may come before the Hamilton County Commission.

Elizabeth has studied the County Commission system.  She attends meetings of the Hamilton County Commission.  She knows the issues.  She is prepared to begin work as soon as she takes office.

Regardless of your political affiliation, if you vote in Signal Mountain, Red Bank 3, Lupton City, Stuart Heights, or Valdeau, please join me in voting for Elizabeth Baker.  Early voting has already begun.  Election Day is Thursday, Aug. 2.

Please call your friends in District 2 and ask them to vote for Elizabeth.  She's the Better Baker for District 2.
