St. Alban's Episcopal Church at 7514 Hixson Pike hosts a free pancake breakfast from 9-11:30 a.m.

Vintage Base Ball returns to the Barnhardt Circle Polo Field in Fort Oglethorpe for a double-header beginning at noon. Mountain City Club of Chattanooga takes on the Highland Rim Distillers from Goodlettsville, Tn. in the opening match at noon. The Travellers Club of Brentwood, Tn. will play the 2:30 p.m. match against the Lightfoot Club. Watching Vintage Base Ball, parking and touring the 6th Cavalry Museum are free. Guests are reminded to bring lawn chairs or blankets, as there is no bleacher seating.

The 3rd Annual Unwine in Style at Spot Venue at 3214 Brainerd Road. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and the show starts at 6:30 p.m. The event will include appetizers, an open bar, live music, and a DJ. Tickets are $30 and available at eventbrite.

The Veterans of Foreign War Cooper T. Holt Post 1289 will be hosting their 3rd Annual Car and Bike Show beginning at noon. Later that evening, a 50's and 60's Sock Hop will close out the days events.  Food and drinks will be available, and throughout the day, raffles will be held for items and services by many local businesses. 6011 Lee Hwy. near the Sam's Club.  The public is invited to attend. Van Johnson in Dory Schary's World War II Docudrama GO FOR BROKE! will be presented at 2 p.m. at Heritage House Arts & Civic Center, 1428 Jenkins Road in Chattanooga. Admission is free. Running time is 1:31 and the film is rated PG.

July 28-29
American Digger Events hosts first annual Chattanooga Civil War Show & Sale at Camp Jordan Arena in East Ridge. Nov. 24
The Chattanooga Hungry Turkey Half Marathon and 5K will take place in Coolidge Park starting at 8:45 a.m. All ages are welcome and the event will benefit Chattanooga Sports Ministries. Runners will receive a commemorative Hungry Turkey quarter zip, a finisher medal and cinnamon rolls at the finish line. UTC Chattanooga Volleyball Earns AVCA Team Award For Academic Excellence

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga volleyball team was awarded the AVCA Team Award for Academic Excellence, the AVCA announced on Monday.   The Mocs posted a team GPA of 3.602 in the fall semester and followed that up with 3.515 in the spring.
